Administrative history | The Neonatal Research Unit developed from the Department of Physiology under Professor K W Cross, who came to the London Hospital Medical College as Head of the Department from St Mary's Hospital Medical School, Paddington. The Medical Research Council funded research in the field, and by 1966 the Neonatal Research Unit was formally established under Professor Cross as the Group for the Study of Respiration and Energy Metabolism in the Newborn. |
