| Administrative history | This Department was established in 1965 as a result of a survey commissioned from Charles Barker and Sons. Until 1968 public relations were in the care of a professional seconded from Charles Barker and Sons. Thereafter, staff from within the Hospital were appointed. After the formation of the London Group of Hospitals in 1968 (The London, Mile End and St. Clements) the Department acted for the whole group, and with the re-organisation in 1974, it took on some District functions. The Department was disbanded in 1980. |
