Administrative history | Nearly all the daily expenses of the hospital were controlled by a House Steward, and the Steward's cash books reflect this. The House Steward was also responsible for dealing with tradesmen, and looking after the corresponding accounts which give very detailed lists of supplies. After 1974 the financial administration of the hospital passed to the Tower Hamlets Health District. |
